Toasté was born from a simple belief: that the coastal flavours of Europe can be enjoyed in the same effortless elegance that defines Nordic living.
I'm Alexandre. I grew up on the coast of Brittany, where artisanal tinned seafood is a staple for special moments: a quiet treat for oneself, a simple date night, or a relaxed gathering with close friends or family. These tins naturally become the focus of the moment: everyone tasting, discussing, and enjoying the flavours together.
Over the years, this became a quiet ritual for my wife and I: we would bring home our favourite tins after each trip, filling our pantry with flavours we loved and trusted. It became one of those small pleasures we always looked forward to. There’s also a long-standing tradition in my family of gifting these tins: a thoughtful gesture that offers a sense of voyage and the joy of discovering new flavours. That pleasure sits at the heart of Toasté.
