La Perle des Dieux – From the French Atlantic coast
La Perle des Dieux comes from Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie on the French Atlantic coast, where the tradition of preserving seafood dates back to 1887. The house brings together carefully selected fish and seafood, traditional recipes and meticulous craftsmanship, with much of the preparation and packing still done by hand.
Sardines hold a special place in the collection, particularly the brand’s celebrated millésimé range. Made from carefully selected sardines caught at their best, these vintage-dated tins are designed to develop over time, becoming softer and more harmonious as they mature.
The presentation is just as distinctive. La Perle des Dieux regularly works with artists and illustrators to turn its tins into small collectable objects, bringing together French culinary heritage, coastal culture and contemporary design. It is a range made as much for sharing and gifting as for opening with good bread and a glass of wine.
Why we like La Perle des Dieux
La Perle des Dieux brings a distinctly French approach to conservas, combining traditional seafood craftsmanship with beautiful design and a strong sense of place. We especially love the millésimé sardines – a rare example of a preserved product that is not only made to last, but can become even better with time.
