A delicate Portuguese preserve from ATI Manel, made with small horse mackerel in olive oil and basil sauce. The fish has a firm, satisfying texture and a mild, savoury flavour, while the sauce adds freshness from basil, a soft roundness from olive oil, and a gentle lift from tomato and lemon.
Serve it simply on toast, add it to a salad, or toss it through warm pasta with a little extra olive oil and fresh herbs. A small tin with a bright, Mediterranean character.
