Horse Mackerel with Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

A simple and elegant preserve from Papa Anzóis, made with horse mackerel and organic extra virgin olive oil.

Horse mackerel is a flavourful fish with a firm yet tender texture, well suited to classic Portuguese conservas. Papa Anzóis produces its conservas in small controlled batches, using a dehydration process instead of pre-cooking to help preserve the natural qualities of the fresh fish.  

The result is a clean, balanced tin with a rich olive oil finish and a quietly distinctive character. Serve with good bread, boiled potatoes, a crisp salad, or as part of an aperitivo table with olives and pickles.
