A classic Portuguese conserva from Papa Anzóis, made with mackerel, olive oil, and salt.
Mackerel is naturally rich and full-flavoured, with a firm yet tender texture that works beautifully in simple preserved fish. Papa Anzóis produces its conservas in small controlled batches, using a careful dehydration process instead of pre-cooking to help preserve the natural qualities of the fresh fish.
The result is a balanced, savoury tin with a clean olive oil finish and plenty of character. Serve with good bread, boiled potatoes, tomatoes, a crisp salad, or as part of a relaxed aperitivo table.
