A vibrant Portuguese conserva from Papa Anzóis, made with sardines in a spicy tomato sauce with onion, oregano, virgin olive oil, vinegar, and red chilli.
The sauce brings together the sweetness and acidity of tomato with a mild chilli warmth, giving the sardines a lively but balanced character. Like other Papa Anzóis conservas, the fish is prepared in small controlled batches using a careful dehydration process instead of pre-cooking, helping preserve its natural flavour and texture.
